If you receive a positive test for COVID-19, but haven't yet been contacted by public health, call the Minnesota Department of Health at 651-201-5689 and ask for a positive test verification code for COVIDaware MN. They will verify your positive test result and ask how you would like to receive the verification code. This phone line is monitored Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please note that we cannot provide codes for at-home tests at this time.
If you voluntarily choose to enter your test result into the COVIDaware MN system, you will need a verification code whether you are using the app or the exposure notification setting on your phone.
NOTE: You only need a verification code if you receive a positive test result for COVID-19. You do not need a verification code if your test result was negative, or if you tested positive for COVID-19 before you started using COVIDaware MN.
COVIDaware MN does not provide information about COVID-19 tests or testing sites.
